Indiana Resource Center for Autism: First Responder Training

These training materials from the Indiana Resource for Autism (IRCA) educate law enforcement officers about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), how to identify it, and how to adapt their behavior when speaking to a person they suspect has ASD.  The available PowerPoint offers specific strategies on how to communicate with a person with Autism, and includes video segments in which officers utilize these strategies.

This webpage provides information for firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, police officers and other first responders in completing the Prevent Educate autism awareness training.
