The Arc Connection
This online training portal is uniquely designed to cater to t the needs of a growing professional staff across the country. Contains over 44 webinars, videos, and written materials that spotlight issues intrinsic to our community.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
SIGs are online discussion forums that allow chapter staff to connect to one another and share best practices and solutions to governance, management, and programmatic issues. There are 17 groups to choose from, facilitated by over 17 chapter leaders. Exclusive for NCE members {link to: internal page “Membership & Benefits}.

Relias Learning
Relias Learning offers chapters of The Arc specialized rates on its Intellectual and Developmental Disability Training Library, which contains over 200 courses on community-based support, autism support, customized employment, health and safety, and more. Chapters may sign up for an annual subscription through Relias Learning Management System or purchases individual courses.

DSP Toolkit - Coming Soon!
The electronic DSP workforce development toolkit is customized and branded for The Arc. The products in the toolkit are based on more than three decades of research conducted by the RTC at the University of Minnesota to develop evidenced-based tools that assist providers and families in finding, choosing, and retaining committed and talented DSPs. The toolkit includes the following customized products: a Realistic Job Preview Video, Public Service Announcements, a Structured Interview Questionnaire, DSP Targeted Marketing Flyers and Job Announcements, a Turnover Calculator, Retention, Wage and Benefit Electronic Survey, and DSP and Frontline Supervisor Competency Sets.

The Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN)
The NTEN partnership with The Arc and NCE bring membership in NTEN at no cost! The Arc Surveys
Data and research is important to ensure we are remaining aware and cognizant of the needs of our constituents. Several times a year, a survey may come your way and the data will inform our program development efforts.

 

Networking & Engagement

NCE Newsletter
The NCE Newsletter is a monthly e-newsletter sent to all NCE members. Arriving on or around the first Friday of the month, the newsletter provides updates on NCE activities, spotlights available resources, and has articles on new and exciting events happening in The Arc’s chapter network.

NCE Task Groups
NCE Tasks Groups, formed to ensure NCE activities have the support needed for successful implementation, allow for greater engagement among the membership and provide a wonderful opportunity to work with colleagues from around the country. NCE Events
NCE Events bring over 300 NCE members together each year. Opportunities to socialize and learn together are always listed as key reasons to attend.

NCE Scholarships
The best place to network is at an NCE event. NCE Scholarships are available for attendance by an NCE member to either SLI or PDS. Scholarship applications typically become available in February.
