What is the National Convention?
This event is a multi-day gathering of the intellectual and developmental disability community consisting of informative sessions, fun social events, The Arc's annual business meetings, awards presentations and opportunities to network, engage with and learn from people with I/DD and their families, professionals and experts in the field and people connected to The Arc and its chapters.
Who usually attends?
This event is generally attended by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and caregivers, members of The Arc, staff and volunteers from The Arc and its chapters, professionals and experts in the field, supporters of The Arc's mission, and others connected to the I/DD community through their work, research or personal experiences.
What are the dates of the National Convention?
The 2013 National Convention will officially begin on Saturday, August 3 and end on Monday, August 5, 2013.
Where will the National Convention take place?
The 2013 National Convention will take place at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, 900 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004.
How can I register?
Registration will open April 1, 2013. At that time you can either register online or download a copy of the official registration form.
What is the cost to attend?
There are different options for attending the National Convention. Rates will be posted online in March.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?
All refund requests must be received on or before July 5, 2013. Requests after this date cannot be honored. No exceptions. Please send your request to Robin Powers at email@example.com. There will be a $25 processing fee for all refund requests. No refunds are given for no-shows. Refunds will be processed after the event. How do I make my hotel reservation?
You can book your rooms online or by calling the hotel directly (425) 462-1234. Please be sure to mention The Arc and that you would like to book under this block.
Keep in mind the "cut-off date" for reserving rooms in the block is 5pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. After the cut-off date, it is at the hotel's discretion whether to accept additional reservations, which will be subject to prevailing rates and availability. Rates do not include applicable state and local taxes. Rates will be available 3 days prior and 3 days after the event dates and are subject to availability at the time of reservation.
