Careers at The Arc
The Arc is the nation’s largest community-based organization advocating for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Our work is grounded in a belief that people with disabilities belong in every part of community life. To make that possible, we need people with different skills, backgrounds, and lived experiences working together across advocacy, programs, marketing, operations, and support for our national chapter network.
If you want your work to help advance disability rights, inclusion, and opportunity, we invite you to explore careers at The Arc.

Why Work at The Arc
At The Arc, good ideas can come from anyone. Our team brings different backgrounds, skills, and lived experiences to work that reaches families, chapters, policymakers, partners, and communities across the country.
Staff work across departments, share expertise, and solve problems together. Whether we are responding to urgent policy threats, supporting chapters of The Arc, building national programs, or sharing stories from the disability community, we work with care, purpose, and respect for the people at the center of our mission.
Our Washington, DC Office and Flexible Work
The Arc’s national office is located in downtown Washington, DC, close to public transportation, restaurants, and neighborhood amenities. Our location keeps our team connected to policymakers, national partners, and advocacy conversations that affect people with disabilities and their families.
The Arc offers a hybrid work schedule for staff based near our DC office, along with remote work options for some positions depending on the role and team needs.
