Project Goals

  • Young adults with intellectual and related developmental disabilities, including autism, will have the opportunity to successfully transition into the community as active and productive young adults;
  • 80% will obtain competitive employment in the community and maintain employment for a minimum of six months;
  • 80% will successfully complete the designated classes that will meet the requirements for a 6-credit certificate issued from Gloucester County College; and
  • 80% will register and successfully complete the class(s) one or more sessions of the Life Long Learning program.

Project Description

The Arc Gloucester is collaborating with other service providers in Gloucester County to provide individuals ages 16-24 with intellectual or related developmental disabilities, including autism, with the services and supports needed to allow for a smooth transition from high school to community. The Arc Gloucester is providing the supported employment and lifelong learning class components. Project outcomes focus on: post-secondary education and/or vocational training; obtaining employment while in school and post-graduation; and living independently within the community as well as civic and community involvement.
