What We Offer Chapters
The National Conference of Executives
The National Conference of Executives of The Arc (NCE) is a peer membership organization of over 300 professional leaders of local, state and national organizations serving individuals with cognitive or other developmental issues. Members share a common purpose: to improve their individual abilities to better serve their organizations and their constituents.
Standards for Excellence®
The Standards for Excellence® program promotes the highest standards of ethics and accountability in nonprofit governance, management, and operations, and facilitates adherence to those standards by all nonprofits. We are offering the Standards for Excellence® program to affiliated state and local chapters through collaboration with the national Standards for Excellence Institute. Educational packets and other supporting documents are available to chapters of The Arc, through our national replication partnership with this program.
The Arc's E-Learning Series - Connect...Learn...Achieve
The Arc is proud to launch a weekly series of educational web-based trainings to our affiliated chapters in 2012. This series will cover a variety of topics including media, development and marketing, best practices, professional development and technology. We also offer E-Learnings on the Standards for Excellence® program. Our series is targeted towards the work our chapters do with and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and they are designed especially to benefit you. Check our schedule regularly for dates and times - new trainings added all the time! If you would like to see a particular topic or speaker featured in The Arc's E-Learning series, contact Kate Hull.
Peer Learning Communities
Peer Learning Communities are designed to be an intensive multi-week exchange amongst participants. By creating these communities peers amongst chapters of The Arc will learn from experts in the field, each other, and through resources exchanges. The information will be shared via conference calls, webinars, resource library, and open discussion on message boards. Please take a moment to learn more about these communities.
